Wouldnt it be a nice gesture (and assuming that Cirencester would allow us to do it) to acknowledge all the clubs that have helped Glos in our time of need. board on the wall in Cirens bar ?

Bit like the stairs going into the bar at meadow park when peoples names were acknowledged for putting money into the club.

Taking rugbys gesture the other day with their golden goal, fantastic and then to let us score 5 as well, you just wouldnt get helpfulness like that at other levels of football.

Could we/should we do something to say thanks ?

That is a good idea but something I think should wait until we get our own ground.

If we wanted to do something now maybe we could arrange for an official statement to be printed in the non league paper? If it is an official statement then maybe we could post in on the relevant forums and match day programmes?

I thought it was Leicester?

It was Arsenal in 1986, some guys testemonial (Barry Vasselio, or something like that). First City game I ever went to (with Dave Harrison, Shandy). I remember watching the first half from the car park end and then going to sit in the stand at half time. Just after the game kicked off for the second half there was a tap on my shoulder and some guy was telling me I was sitting in his seat - when I turned round it was George Graham.

Shandy's correct, it was Leicester back in 1986 for the opening of Meadow Park, the Arsenal game was in 1987 for Barry Vasselio's testimonial

Hi Lads. The £90 was handed over to an official of yours. We would appreciate acknowledgement of the donation in the form of a letter for the accounts.

The five goals and three points we do not need a thankyou for!!

Hey Railway Sider, that's a bad combination you've got there.
