When we get our new ground, what would you all like to see, being sensible and realistic, here are mine for starters;

A covered T End stand as per MP
Skittles Alley
Covered Programme Stall (Quite like that bit at FGR!)
Big Bar / Function Room

The Cleric

An entrance in which are displayed the legendary players (say 50) of Gloucester City either in photos or names on a wall plaque. It would add to a modern building the link with the past.

I think the tunnel should be situated at whichever end the new 'T' end is at, so that both teams get a proper reception/barrage of abuse when they enter and exit the pitch.

I'm not bothered as long as we get a ground of our own back in Gloucester as soon as possible!

I do like this idea though - something that shows the clubs past in pictures. Maybe a few shots of Horton Road & Meadow Park as well as some legends of the past.

Definately agree with skittles alley,bar and function room. Anything that means extra income for the club during the week has got to be top of the agenda. What's the point in having a club house that is only used once or twice a week. We need something that is being used 5 or 6 times a week. Not only would it generate extra income but it may also attract the odd new supporter or two.

And Sky TV so we can watch games on the box either before or after our game. A good way to put more money behind the bar.

Well...

The T-End obviously has to be there so we can generate noise around the Stadium, preferably 3 or 4 steps bigger than the old T-End for a larger capacity. I would also like to see a Main stand akin to what Forest Green Rovers have with space for hospitality as we rocket up the leagues (:wink:). A nice press box with Internet access would be nice also! The stand opposite the Main stand isn't as important but I'd like to see a small, covered terrace a little larger than the one we had at Meadow Park. Finally opposite the T-End a 5 or 6 step uncovered terrace would be sufficient.

The segregation barrier also shouldn't be as generous as it was at Meadow Park (1 and half sides!), it should only be the uncovered terrace behind the goal if a team brings a need-to-be segregated support. It might be trivial, but it always bothered me.

I think it's neccessary to have activities occuring at the stadium daily to bring extra income into the club, FGR have a Gym, Skittles alley and a Pub among other amenities...surely alot of extra income? Maybe this is an example we should be following.

I like the idea of honouring former Great's to play for City, it would add a bit of history and prestige to the new Ground and would educate newer supporters about the great, but not so illustrious (!), history of the Club.

Finally...room for expansion would be good because you never know what might be around the corner!

I think that's all! As you can see, not much :cool:

Radiators on the terraces too!

I'd say;

Stand's wise;
-Exact replica of the T-End but maybe with one of those walkways at the back to get out rather than the front, like Bristol Rovers or Salisbury. And it has to be the whole length of the pitch not like FGR's behind goal attempts.

-Nice mainstand with G C A F C or Tigers on the seats. A nice press box and public address box for Martin Ellis. A space to sit with the camera in the middle would be a sweet idea.

- Enough room around the front so that Neil can walk around but so it's nice and close like MP

- The opposite main stand needs steps I think, like Worcester and Halesowen, because some people love to stand at the side of the pitch.

- Not too bothered with the away stand but so it's got a segregation option. And loads of Yellow around the ground.

For the rest;

- Nice bar with at least Sky Sports News on for the HT an FT's. Somewhere where we can put our own events on.

- A big sign near the road to the ground with NEXT AT THE CITY STADIUM - CITY V KING'S LYNN eg. and sponsership would be a great way of making money on that aswell.

As far as Im aware that is not true. I know that a couple of clubs for the BSN have sent in footage to be used in the highlights show they have on a Friday night. I can only imagine that if Setanta did broadcast one of our games (would have to be a Setanta Shield match) then you wouldnt be able to film it but apart from that I wouldnt have thought it would matter.

Some good suggestions but i am not sure about Shandy Lap Dancing, maybe we should put a poll on the Ladies site to see if any of them would be interested in stuffing ten pound notes into Shandy's knickers......what a terrible thought.:wink::smile:

Are any of the stands from MP resusable, surely we could dismantle the T End and bring it to the new site ?

We don't really need anything much better than MP, other than maybe being able to walk right around the ground when there is no segregation (you would need the tunnel in the corner).

I just can't wait till it's built and we are in, making it our new home. But we are some way off that yet.

Community location, ideally next to a college or school
As well as the usual stuff already mentioned, a stadium that is not a dull tin box that looks like a pre-fab warehouse. A nice layout, like Dorchester Town's.

Some may think this is odd, but I would like a stadium with green credentials, like Dartford's (http://www.dartford.gov.uk/princespark1/about.htm), which has a roof to collect rainwater, solar panels and is made of recycled/eco-friendly construction materials to reduce energy use. Can you get floodlights with LEDs and can they emit enough light? On a similar green theme, ideally it should be within walking distance of residential areas and on main bus routes (although a car park devoid of pot holes would be nice too!) and a secure place to put bikes.
A family enclosure that also includes a good view of the pitch for those in wheelchairs.
A main stand designed in a way that the pitch can be used for outdoor entertainment/small concerts in summer
A proper club shop, perhaps combined with a general sportswear/fitness shop that trades all week.
Catering which supports local producers and where there is a beer/food round during the match.
A fitness suite shared with the community/local college or school (like FGR's)
Changing rooms with access to Sunday league pitches, an all-weather pitch, 5-a-side pitches for use by local sports clubs
Function Room with bar and conference facilities for use by local community/businesses/college/schools

Finally, how about an iron main gate with two tigers made into the design on either side, both with sabre teeth, forming an archway into the main stadium complex with the words 'WELCOME TO THE TIGERS' LAIR'
