View Full Version : A Little Idea

As we all know and have commented on our attendances this season at the New Lawn haven't been good at all. They aren't good enough to support a Playoff chasing side that's for definite. Basically its something that Me and Pablo have been doing for the last couple of seasons. We try and bring at least a friend each to every Home game to add that little bit of extra income on the revenue stream. Sometimes we manage to get only a couple to come, but sometimes, like Tiverton at Home in the Trophy last season we managed to get into double figures! If that is what two people can do, just imagine if the 50-100 odd who use and read the forum can do?

Surely this is something that could be tried more fervently?

If everyone in the T-End brought a friend or two it could make our 200-300 attendances into 300-400 attendances where they probably should be. Also with the great attacking brand of Football we're playing at the moment, and the fantastic atmosphere, this could possibly bring more fans to the New Lawn.

Just a little idea that I think could work.

Simon I think you will find that this has been mentioned several times before on here and unlike yourself and your bro the rest of us dont have any friends, or in my case all my friends go to the football already

Simon - its an excellent idea, something i have been boring for England on for years in the programme, but you guys are going out and doing it, which is brilliant

Another twist - some of you have donated your match entrance when you have not been able to get to a game - thats a fantastic (and typically Tigerish) gesture - but another way of doing that is to use that money to pay for a friend (or better still - offer two friends 50% of their entrance ) to come to the next game with you - anything to get more people into the ground, and the club still gets the money. If that person gets hooked then we are big winners.

Another idea - if you dont collect programmes then why not pass yours on when you have finished with it - put it in the works rest room, or the doctors surgery, or just hand it to someone you think might be convertable to the light. You never know, it might just spark a visit....
