City took the lead in this tough fixture after three minutes, n excellent cross from Sarah H. resulted in the ever progressing Katie S knocking in her third goal in three games.
The lead lasted for about ten mintues when Oldland capitalised on their pace, and equalised. Again we lost Vicky in defence, she was feeling unwell and ended up in goal. A great move as it happened, Oldland were awarded a dubious penalty, and Vicky made a superb diving save to her left.
Several of our team were feeling unwell or were carrying an injury of one form or another, so the Oldland pace really began to tell.
What was nice to see was the fighting spirit shown by the team, they didn't give up, and again at times were playing some really nice football.
Not a good result, but still a good performance with a lot of positives. Not sure who got player of the match, but my choice would have been between Mel and Sandra.
