we lost 5-0 yesterday to Cheltenham town, we played well in patches but Chelt deserved the win.
We played most of the game wiv 10 players as Sophie went off injured in the 1st 20 mins and we had no subs to replace her!

overall very dissapointed by the lack of effort with some players obviosly wanted to be somewhere else yesterday but not on the pitch!!

i say give some of the 2nds a chance in the 1st who will put the effort in!! :frown:

Unfortunately I was only able to get there just before half-time and was told that we were 1-0 down ["to a flukey goal"]

In the first 5 or 10 startling minutes of the second half we then conceded 3 more goals where we barely got a kick in wave-after-wave of oppsoition attack. After that we did put-together some very decent and controlled build-up play but without really creating any goal-scoring opportunities

The earlier pressure and match-winning lead that Cheltenham had meant that their attacks still seemed to carry the more confidence and likelihood to score again, but their last goal came in an even period of the game

Cheltenham deserved to win and we didn't play or impose ourselves, as well as we can do, especially by only having 10 players. I haven't seen enough games to comment if any players weren't trying and as merely a spectator it wouldn't be fair of me to say so [as players carrying an injury or being played out-of-position due to injuries, suspensions or tactics don't give me any insight to that]

Good luck ladies

Hi Rio sorry u gave up your time ans travelled to watch that performance yesterday.

when i say lack of effort im also refering to training as well as its the same people at training week in week out and the same people missing it every week.

Thank god we have some cracking yougsters ready to come striaght into the 1st eg. emma hart who trains every week even though she is not yet eligable to play due to her age she is a fantastic player who can not wait to play for the 1sts! there are a few other players due to come through aswell next year form the youngsters which will be a great thing as then there will be more competition for places and people will have to fight for there poistions, improve thier fitness in order to get into the 1st where as at the moment i dont think this is happening.

i hate loosing like anyone but if we pay well and lose, like we didn against f.green where it was clear that everybody wanted to win i have no arguments!!! but when people arnt really intrested, and their are people playing in the 2nds who would love to play for the 1sts it does quite annoy me!!!

we all have bad games me included but their is no excuse to give up and not put the effort in when theres other people like kelly aldridge who never gave up and neber stopped running!

thanks for coming to watch again and i hope next time you come we can give you a better performance
