Good luck to City fan Stuart Fleetwood tomorrow in his FA Cup tie at Swindon. It's good to see a fellow T-Ender doing well for himself and hopefully he can score the goals which see a giantkilling and then go on to play against Arsenal or Man Utd!

he went off injured apparently

unforunteately he did but a good day out none the less as 1500 FGR fans outsung the swindle at the county ground. a proper FA Cup tie and we deserved to win it as we were all over them for most of the game but a good cup run and now for the trophy...

And I'll bet most of the FGR "fans" today were actually Swindon Town fans circa 1993!

1,466 tickets sold at end of thursday night and apparently more were coming and paying on the gate today. i just hope they return for our league games.

Mate they might have had fgr shirts and scarfs on but they are not all proper fans believe me. Give it a few years when the new lawn looks quiet and you'll be saying "remember when 1500 went to swindon...". Kind of like when we took 1500 all the way to Slough in the FA Trophy yet cant even get 300 in now at Forest Green. I just hope your board spends the money wisely unlike ours

What you've said there Bob, wasn't the problem not one of spending wisely but more of a case of "one for them, one for me" after that purple patch for the club in the mid to late nineties?

My missus asked me (not knowing that much aboutfootball ithas to be said) , can you play for another team if you dont support them ?

Wouldnt it be odd if you could only play for the team you actually supported?

I think a lot of Premiership teams would be spoilt for choice!

We know a lot of the FGR crowd there were incidental or first time fans but the hope is that after seeing us play (and we outplayed Swindon, even their fans admit to that) perhaps some will come back and see us again. It was a good shop window for the quality of football we're playing this season.

Fleets wasn't injured, he had cramp, but seemed fed up and didn't want treatment on the field

spoke to someone who knows fleetwood well and i think he was disappointed with the fact that he felt he had blown his chance against a big club. still a great future for him whatever.

Just listened to his interview on BBC Radio Glos....he answers a question by the one and only Shandy!

Shame about his 'best' memory though!!!

I remember that game. At least Super Will had the guts to take the penalty. I remember other, more senior players (Matt Rawlins particularly), hiding that night.
