Was that the Uxbridge coach? I thought that it may've been the Supporters Charabang so I didn't want to say anything but I was sure that it was the self same coach that they used Fletch and Godbur used to escape from HMP Slade in the Porridge movie :D

The driver of our bus spoke to the driver of the banger bus and apparently the club own the bus!

It's a classic is it not? Not sure how old it is but could well have starred in Porridge! This one is the latest in a long line of relics. You can imagine the fun we've had over the years with break downs, not to mention hilariously defective windscreen wipers. Sturdily built though; been known to flatten the odd wall here and there.

The driver you mention is our wealthy treasurer (Mr Uxbridge FC) who just happens to be the man with the eccentric interest in these vehicles.

As long as it gets from A to B ( and up the hill to Forest Green) then you're on a winner. I bet your travel expenses are well down compared to many clubs :)

I'm sure the expenses are down in comparison. The heater hasn't worked in years though and I swear it was warmer outside than on that coach on Saturday. And yes it did make it up the hill to Forest Green but only just. Comical at one point when it almost stopped but I was disappointed, when we finally got to the top, to see just one frustrated driver stuck behind. Round our way there would have been at least 40 cars.

The coach does have all mod cons though; including luxury toilet - a funnel tied to an ashtray on the back of a seat with a piece of plastic tubing which, in turn, runs through a hole drilled in the floor. Classy!!!

That's a fantastic idea, but who cleans out any residual 'soil' at the end of the day?

Deadly serious Neil.

And Shandy (no pun intended), it seems to flush through without any problem. Probably due to the levels of alcohol in the cleaning fluid!!!
