To play for England that is. He also wants Martin O'Neill to become the new England manager. Its all in this weeks NLP.

I imagine he'd favour Smithy on the right

I was at Wembley that evening and the reception Beckham got was awesome when he came on for the second half. I remarked at the time the expectation on one man was immense and he almost pulled off the miracle. Beckham has his doubters but, to his credit, and I should not be surprised 'cause that's the kinda guy he is, as the other England players sloped off at the end Beckham was the only one walking round applauding the fans to which we reciprocated. In my opinion, apart from Crouch and Beckham, the other England players did not do themselves any favours. I hope Becks gets his 100th.

I have only just realised the irony within my previous reply to this thread with regard to the only two players who came off the pitch with their reputations intact i.e Crouch and Beckham. One of them can hardly get a first team slot with his club and the other plays for a second rate team with whom he has been injured most of the time. Does this suggest that too many competitive games are played in our domestic football?

They'll have as many games and players as Baseball soon..
