I've heard that Noaxy is thinking of leaving City because he isn't enjoying it and he wants to go back and play for Hardwicke (where he's been playing this season). :(

I hope he doesn't leave, he's a real asset and a great player to watch down the left wing

Jesus, if I had the talent to play for City I would run through a brick wall to put the shirt.

I regard Noaksey has a great prospect for the club, very talented player who is starting to fill out and will only get better. I hope he doesn't like being a big fish in a small pond because in 10 years time he might look back and regret his missed opportunity

Hope there's no truth in this rumour, but if there is then Tim only goes for players that are 100% committed to playing and taking City forward (look at Bathy, Aaron Wilson etc etc)

I hope he stays, he's a top player and a nice kid as well.

He's seen off Buttery and Price, and that left wing/back position could be his for the next 10-15 years if he wants it.

Joe mate, I think you are underestimating the longevity of Sir Adrian of Harris

You couldnt blame him after the bad luck he has had.
Need him to stay though to give us the balance we need

Tim phoned me this morning and said that he'd had a good chat with Noaxy and he's agreed to stay and see how things go for a few weeks. It would be a big mistake from both sides if Mike was to pack it in because I think he's as good a left back as there is in this league and he's a real asset for us. Lets hope that in this short space of time he can see what he'll be missing if he does leave :)

Good news. I won't be there tomorrow but it might be worth us thinking of a Noaxy chant and showing how much we want him to stay - any ideas?

From the look of your face I can see you've tried that too..............a LOT of times

This might be where you get your own back on me Shandy Man, cos I can only think of the following to the tune of the old Robin Hood TV theme

ORIGINAL LYRICS
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of men
He steals from the rich and give to the poor
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood

POSSIBLE LYRICS
Michael Noakes, Michael Noakes, his middle name isn't Glenn
Michael Noakes, Michael Noakes, he's about 5 foot 10
He runs down the pitch and we'll score another goal
Michael Noakes, Michael Noakes, Michael Noakes

I'm happy to accept changes and suggestions to the above, even including those that will say LETS NEVER, EVER, EVER SING THAT SONG

That aside, after Michael's debut for the club, several times on this Forum, I have stated what a good player I think he is and would now add to that that he is possibly my favourite current player at the club, who shows fantastic potential to play several leagues higher. Therefore I hope he stays longer before moving upward with us or ahead of us

It's great news about Michael. This young man has bags of talent and ability and is one of those that I think is exciting to watch play. He makes things happen and on form is a match for anybody, not just in our side but in most of the sides in the league as well.
