The Croatian result was the more surprising. Even if Russia had won we would have still had a chance.

For all the stick that McLaren has got, the results at the end of the campaign have been much better than at the start. And Barry and Gerrard instead of Lampard and Gerrard makes a difference.

Kinda ironic after our mediocre campaign and Scotland's great results if we qualify and they don't.
