Now we'll see if it works!

How many people who pledged their support didn't pay up? Did anyone on here take part?

A message from one of Ebbsfleets new directors...

from Confguide so it may not be 100% kosher!

hello to you all from myfootballclub.

i am one of the new owners of ebsfleets fc and I ask you fans not to worry a bit about the clubs future. to back myself up, i have personly played championship manager 2003/04 for the last 4 years and i have taken barnet to the champioship by 2009/10 season, so i am experienced in what is required to ran a football club at this level.

i, myself have won manger of the year award at my local under 13 team last season.

i hope to personly enjoy a good tenure at this club and sign some beter players for you in order to gain league status by sometime in the next 6/7 years.

so the current players will be given time before we dable in the transfer markets and sign a new team in order to make it up the league and probably the premiership in the next 7/8 years.

with regard to signings, roberto carlos is out of out reach and not relistic so please do not suggets this. but I did sign tony yeboah in championship manager 2003/04 before firing my physio due to wages problems.

the team should get lot of new fans at your ground to join you the real fans, so this should pleese you.

liam daish will be given a chance to run the teem, but our desisins are final in runing the club.

all in all, i really do reassure you that everything will be ok, and i hope you trust in us to pull you out of this league and ibo the premiership by 2010 or maybe before this.

jarrad (new joint owner of ebsfleet 2007-)

Didn't take part but I think it's a novel idea that could see rewards for Ebbsfleet. Not only have they been given £750k, but a yearly sum from any new members who wish to join at £35 a pop, not money to be sniffed at.

I think those that did pledge or donate £35 will be genuine and good intentioned so I can only see positives for Ebbsfleet ... same Board, same management ... just nearly £1M wealthier.

I think they only way that it could really be a success is if the majority of those who paid in actually go to support the club. After all, they now have a reason to!

Well if they do then they will need to ground share where the capacity os 20 thousand!

I think a lot of the money they've received will have to go towards a rather large extension to their boardroom ;)

I don't think it matters too much whether the new 'owners' turn up or not in any great numbers. Nothing has changed except their bank balance. They've obviously got a useful bunch of players at the moment, a few additions with the money they've just gained could get them promoted.

Like City, an upturn in results will result in greater interest locally and investment nationally so let's hope they spend the money wisely.

I pledged my support but have so far declined to pay up as I was waiting to see

1, how many people joined up and

2, which club they were going to go for.

Seeing as in the 3 months since August when i was first 'invited' to part with my £35 only just over 20000 have coughed up, my initial thoughts that it might not be so straight forward to get 50000 members appear correct.
And now that they have chosen Ebbsfleet, I wish them good luck but I would rather save my £35 and put it to better use and spend it on supporting the tigers.

By the way when you registered you were invited to say which team you would like to bid for. I did choose City but it appears that the majority of the other 50000 who registered did not. Just can't believe that really, the fools don't know what they are missing!!

I think the Leeds were top in the table of wanted investments, I'd rather give £35 to Chelt than Leeds.

I think Ebbsfleet is a good Club to start with, come from no-where and are living the dream, this money will hopefully make them a FL side.

What we could do with £750k ey? Get Adie some bio legs? :)

i too joined but didn't pay so i am not yet an owner and i doubt i will. from the start the signs may be good with a lot of money coming in to the club (bad for us seen as their near us in the league!) but after a while their new head coach liam daish being told who to pick will become pretty annoying for him. he is a quality manager who has got ebbsfleet to the top and to be told by 20,000 people on the internet who they want in the starting 11 must be hard to deal with.

No you can select Ryman,Southern League and Isthmian Premier Divison sides. Think it was added after a few people emailed in.

I am a fully paid up memeber. I take a big interest in the Blue Square Premier and was expecting them to choose someone from that league. For a start a league team would either be to expensive or they would have no real scope for improvement. I can see why they have chosen Ebbsfleet and am happy with that. I think it will be intresting to see how it works but I see it that it was only £35 for a year and if it works great and if it doesnt then I dont have to pay next year. Im quite excited about how it is going to pan out and I am fairly certain that they will get more people going to watch them.

By the way I to choose City but knew they wouldnt go down that low. One or two people are moaning they went as low as the Blue Square
