View Full Version : GCAFC Vs. Supporters CONFIRMED

Joe
6th April 2007, 01:19 AM
Gloucester City first XI will be taking on a fans XI on Thursday 26th of April at Meadow Park, with the game kicking off at 7.15pm.

All genuine fans are welcome, and the cost to play against your heroes will be £10 per person, which will be donated to the Supporters Trust. The match will (probably) be 90 minutes with rolling subs, so everyone who wants a go will get one.

Please bring a yellow and black home shirt if you have one, and preferably black shorts and socks.

Thanks to Tim for making this possible. I believe the bar will be open with food available, if all goes to plan.

Please add your name here if you want to play:

1. Joe Green (player-manager!)
2. Shandy
3. Dr. Wart
4. Dr. Wart Junior
5. Mark Compton
6. Paul 'Pablo' Clark
7. Travis Whittaker
8. Drakey
9. Clifty
10. Phil Gough
11. Ian DeMaria
12. Rio
13. Dom Squires
14. Special guest!

Two different things Stout

You've got a so called Cheltenham fan moving abroad to live, and writing back telling us what a wonderful life he has, snowploughs included. Obviously loves his club very much to move so far away :tosser:

Clifty on the other hand is on holiday, and despite all of the happy distractions still obviously has City near the front of his mind and is therefore logging in to see what's going on. Two ends of a different scale. :notworthy:

You're like a little Cheltenham mosquito coming on here to try and irritate me. Be warned, the last one to do that I dealt with a heavy blow, spilling their claret all over the walls. Be warned. :tosser:

If he's gonna be there and not playing, could we get Tim to 'manage' our team -its gotta be a career highlight for the guy ? !

And 'sack' Joe, you're kidding! Tim could do a job in goal for us though, that could be quite funny.

I think we'll be alright. 14 so far. I might get my housemates along, as although they're not part of the City 'community' (so to speak), they've each been to over 15 games this season, so should certainly qualify as genuine fans in my opinion.

If anyone has Guy Lamiman's number, I'd like to get him in goal.

I'm really on a shoestring whether I can play tomorrow due to Coursework deadlines on the Friday. I'm truly gutted to be honest and I'm hoping I can play.

Anyway I think Marcus Chew will be playing on Thursday, so he could possibly go in goal...

Why not? They only need one kit for Saturday so both the away kits should eb available!

Joe - in answer to your PM - in my glory days I was a striker. Shandy and I used to terrorise the defences of the supporters teams from Merthyr, Newport, Cardiff and Hereford.

..looking good ... Choward is a goalhanger and I like to play attacking midfield ...

...just like to mention that I have scored in both matches against the first team, so am under huge pressure to make it 3 out of 3 (this is a MUST for our team to demonstrate consistency) ... and was hacked down in each of the previous games by an up-and-coming-star who left the club soon after - which i'm not keen to repeat.. unless you know better... is Jason Eaton playing?
