Thanks to Chris Hill for filling this role in the first place. If ever there was a time or opportunity for new blood to come in and fill this role then this would be it. I trueky believe that this club has a bright future to look forward to, and hope that someone on the outside see's this and steps up!

Dave Phillips is a top bloke, and I think he's a more than adequate replacement.
Also- does anyone know if ex- Slimbridge chairman John Mac(k?) is involved anywhere at the moment?

I'm pleased that Dave Phillips is taking over, he's a real City fan of old and it's good to see him back at the club :)

Hands up!! I was unsure about Dave Phillips returning to the club - but got the opportunity to talk with him before the Stourbridge game and can see that he hasn't lost any of his former passion for Gloucester City. I wish Dave all the best in his role as acting Chairman, he's the right person for the job.
Also thanks to Chris Hill for the work he has put in over the last couple of years.

Was around a while ago, was on the old Board for a while, can't remember who the Chairman was then, may have been Tracy Newport; think he was A Supporters Club rep. on the Board. He left and went to Slimbridge as Club Sec. did a great job there, then it all went to pieces at the start of this season.
I can remember David as a supporter back into the early nineties.

I always thought he was on the board when Rob Thomas was there. The season we came 2nd to Nuneaton (I think) he was rumoured to want to "go for it" while no-one else wanted to, even though we were second and within catching distance of top spot.

Think you're right Neil, it was under Thomas. Sorry to agree with you.

That stinging feeling that you're experiencing is your pride taking a knock, you should agree with me more often because you know I'm always right ;)
