The only thing I can predict with certainty is that it will be freezing cold and a wild west wind will whistle through the Hand and freeze your bits. Even Randolph Fiennes and Michael Stroud saw crossing the Hand as a challenge too far.

You can walk on the pier. Be careful if it's windy.

The ground is not within easy distance of Clevedon, out in the sticks if I remember

The one and only time I've been to the Hand was a freezing day during our Western Division runners-up campaign when Karl Bayliss made a cameo subs appearance (coming out of retirement) scoring his last ever goal for the club in a 2-0 victory. I missed the bugger as well, as I was in the toilets at the time.

2-0 city I reckon with 248 there.
My first visit to Clevedon was actually my first ever away trip way back in 1994. I remember in the programme for a Saturday league game it described it as the "magnificent hands stadium" and thus was very excited. Anyway on leaving there on a cold, damp Tuesday night Dr Martens cup game I was very tempted to report that programme under the trade descriptions act.
I hope it's improved!!!

I think not Yates Jnr!! Just think, if you're at the New Lawn next season you'll have the best ground in the Southern League South Western division!!!! Thats if you're budget last's you that long as i hear it's being pulled - not the sort of promotion season you were all expcting eh!?!?!? :D

Does anybody remember this from when Jack Pitcher signed for us?
Bater also took a swipe at Gloucester boss Tim Harris, branding him an 'amateur' after failing to make contact to confirm the signing.
He said: "I'm not happy with Tim Harris and Gloucester City that they didn't even have the courtesy to let me know the deal with Jack had been done.
"I'm disappointed in two amateurs who have never played the professional game.
"I've been involved in professional football but this just shows Jack Pitcher and Tim Harris as the amateurs that they are."
Lets have a see who the Amateurs are today then Mr Bater.

I think the fact that more supporters make an a hour plus round trip to watch city then you get at your gaff shows the difference between the clubs.
