SHANDY LOVE MACHINE

After 24 hours sweating like a P-I-G at Glos Royal, I am pleased and proud as a punch to announce the arrival of Amelie Frances Birchley, weighing in at the vomit coloured corner at 7lb 9 1/2 oz.

Mother and daughter are both doing great, and both are tired, happy and hungry when I left them. Apologies for missing the coach, I did ask the midwife to induce he baby an hour earlier than she did, unfortunately I cannot transfer the withering look she gave me into words on this forum. Still it was nothing compared to my earlier request for full english when offered some toast.

Will stay up long enough to get the scores but am fighting fatigue. Last night I struggled to fight off sleep, but ended with a couple of hours of tortured kip on a draughty floor. Bit like watching the Bobbins, I suppose

You forgot the most important bit ...........

......How's the father doing. As a father of 4 I know from first hand experience that it is the father that does all the hard work, whilst the mother just lays there.

Congratulations

thank you ladies and gentlemen, a memorable day with three stunning bits of news - a healthy baby girl, a City cup win and a £1 win on a lottery scratchcard.

Enough excitement for today, how can tomorrow match! I almost don't want to wake up.

After 24 hours sweating like a P-I-G at Glos RoyalCongratulations all round and apropos of nothing at all........ A Forester bursts into his bedroom with a sheep under his arm...He blurts out ,"See, this is the pig I've been having sex with all these years". His wife says,"That is'nt a pig that's a sheep!". He replies,"It was the sheep I was talking to"..
