Waste of a great goalkeeper, but different people have different values and priorities in life. A nice chap, and good City servant

not really a shock to be honest. He was talking about it before he left us! I wish him luck in hes life away from playing football! maybe we will see him in the T-End soon!!

Good luck to him.

Will never forget the goal he scored (I do forget the game though, Bath first game of the season 06/07?) .

What a waste, retiring at 31!

A nice bloke, great servant to Gloucester who I am sure will be talked about and fondly remembered in thirty-forty years time. That goal was great, and who will forget those penalty saves against Tiverton in the cup.

The report got it slightly wrong, though. Surely it was 249 appearances.

Good luck to him.

Will never forget the goal he scored (I do forget the game though, Bath first game of the season 06/07?) .Kings Lynn. It was the first goal of the 2005/06 Southern League season!

Always a reliable and steady keeper for City. There can't be too many who've played as many games between the sticks for the Tigers.

Enjoy your retirement Matt!

Really good keeper and a top bloke. Real shame because he would have made a good manager aswell:cry:

I went to that game but missed the bloody goal. Typical! Also there were no video replays for that one.:brickwall:
