Just got back. It wasnt pretty and we didnt create to many chances but deserved the victory as we had quite a lot of the ball. The goal was very scrappy indeed but Pitcher managed to bundle it into the net. Injury time went on for ages but we were never into much danger during it. 96 was the attendence and it was there highest of the season so far!

We pulled a big crowd for them then!

Well done City, bring on Uxbridge.

Neil

Shame that they have small crowds, it seems a common ailment with most cockney teams. I must say, they had a fantastic bar at their ground, it was like a nightclub!

Is that why you were posting at 5:25 this morning? ;)

Neil
7th November 2007, 06:30 PM
No, I got straight in and straight to bed when I got home from Hillingdon and didn't have time to put the interview online. However, when my alarm went off for work at 5am I turned it off instead of pressing snooze so I had to get up and there was no way I was going in early ;)

BTW - I'm surprised that no-one's said anything about me accidentally suggesting that bringing on Adie Harris was out of desperation. Adie said something :D

SHANDY LOVE MACHINE

I almost did Neil - sounded like a slip of the tongue to me, and one Tim professionally glossed over although you can tell he's chuckling

So what did Adie say?

Kingo
7th November 2007, 09:36 PM
Just heard Tim's interview - think you should apologise on air after the Clevedon post match interview - how on earth can you mention the words "Adie Harris":notworthy: and "desperation" in the same sentence.

Apologise young man :(

Neil
8th November 2007, 03:49 PM
So what did Adie say?As soon as I walked into the bar he was straight onto me, which was incredible really cos word got to him in the time that it took me to walk from the pitch to the bar with only a short pause to talk to Smithy in between. I was stitched up :D

I can't remember what he said but I told him that I have to think on my feet when I'm trying to think of a question to ask next. This time I was thinking on my ass ;)

Just listened to Tim's interview. Certainly enlightening !

Looking forward to the Uxbridge game.... Perhaps this could be a Trophy Cup run after all. Remember Southport, what exciting times they were.
