City unlucky

Glos 1sts were unlucky not to walk away with atleast a point yesterday, Penzance took the lead early in the 1st half from a free kick which was headed in.

Glos then seemed to up the pace and played some good football down the wings.

2nd half we dominated the game Penzance only entered our half a couple of times, Glos played some great football, Libby was excellent as usual at left back pushing forward with Kelly, we created alot but unfortunaly were unable to get the goal which we so deserved!

The score does not reflect the performance, well done girls i thought & along with the crowd thought we were excellent yesterday :notworthy: we are getting better every game.

We have now outplayed the top 2 teams this season Collumpton & Penzance but failed cum away with 3 points :cry:

dont worry girls it only a matter of time till we start banging in the goals! :p

I was disappointed with it to be honest although it was only my second game so far this season so I'm probably being a bit harsh. Some of the sparkle seems to be missing :(

i agree in some ways neil but we can not forget we still are without a keeper & a striker, we were also without Jade Lewis who has been having a great season in centre of defence but she was out with a neck injury but Chloe did a great job filling in for her :thumbsup:

Personally the pocession and passing was excellent yesterday but we do miss an out & out striker we need someone to finish the oportunites we create 1st time.

I thought the girls did really well on Sunday, especially the 2nd half. Penzance hardly got out of their half and the comments from their dug out were particulary interesting and they were obviously getting extremely concerned regarding the pressure the Glos were appling. I'm sure they would have scored if they had a bit longer. We really need an out and out striker and have missed Mouse since she left. I have no doubt that the ladies will re group and will return better than ever within the next couple of seasons.

Keep up the good work ladies, I think you are playing better each time. :)
