Another draw against a team from a division lower than us! We have had some kind draws this season and it's about time we capitalised on our good fortune and got a cup run going!

Mind you there is an incentive for Hillingdon - 'big' (ish) local derby for them potentially

Haven't we been crying out for some luck in the draws like this, it's a shame we've needed two replays so far isn't it?.

We just have to do the business tomorrow, will there be text updates as I will be at 5 a side?...

I see they are 6th in their league, where as Hillingdon are 20th in the same league

I know how much text updates are appreciated, for people tell me how disappointed they are when they are unavailable.

Mind you, I think people also need to look at Hillingdons games played column in conjunction with their league position - they have had a LOT of cup games this year, and are more than likely an upper-mid table side rather than relegation fodder.

I hope to do the live scores but I also plan on videoing the game (it could go to pens) so they'll have to be sent at half time and full time only :(

They've played 8, got 7 points

Hillingdon 0.875 points per game
City 0.83 points per game

They are poor in the division below us, we're poor in the division above them. How easy do our players want it to progress?

Every year we cry out for a cup run and this year it's been handed on a plate to us, yet our players just can't do it. They need to grow some balls and realise that their performances are costing the Club money through lack of revenue and falling attendances.

I think that is very unfair as I thought City showed a lot of spirit to fight back twice on Saturday in what was a real value for money thrilling cup tie.

With regard to league positions these go out of the window in a cup-tie and often it is easier to play a team above rather than below you.

The trouble is that when a team is struggling nothing seems to go right for you and you never seem to get the rub of the green. How often do you here that teams at the top end of the league are not playing well but still win.

As T H has said it’s all about confidence and not a lack of “balls” or not trying and hopefully they will win tonight and go on and have a great cup run. Or they may not but I don’t think it will be through lack of trying.

No offence, but cliches won't make things better.

Firstly, yes it is easier to play against teams above you, there is little pressure on the lower team. But in most games, the team in the higher division will win, this is because they are supposedly better and have better players with more ability.

Secondly, there is no such thing as rub of the green. It's another cliche that comes along everytime we lose a game. Yes, iffy decision here, dodgy goal there .. but that doesn't cover up woeful play or mistakes.... the things that are within our control.

I get so frustrated with City, there are no excuses why the league is like it is and we can't clear small hurdles to go on a cup run... this is our own doing, these results are a reflection of our players and no-one and nothing else.

I can understand your frustration I have lived with the frustration of watching City for over thirty years and still come back for more.

The team may not be good enough in certain areas in particular defence but your point about no balls or not trying I cant agree with.

Fair enough, you could be right but then if our team are giving it 100% and we're third from bottom and struggling against 20th placed teams in the division below then we have a real quality issue.

No easy answers, I just wish we would start realising our potential by first admitting we have a [player and/or manager] problem rather than blaming bad luck and so on.

100% agree. There's only so many times you can blame iffy refs and the like. We did show fight coming back from behind twice on Saturday but it should never have come to that. With the kind of quality we have in the team, or told we have anyway, we should have made mincemeat out of squads that the likes of Shortwood and Hillingdon have.

End of the day if we lose tonight this will go down as the poorest start to a season I can remember in 14 years of watching City. I just hope everything goes right tonight....

Very nice reward if we win Tonight.

If we play to our potential we will be in the FA Trophy 1st round proper and maybe facing Oxford or Torquay....well we can all dream!

This season has been a major dissappointment so far, so it would be nice to go on a decent cup run.

I think that if we beat uxbridge, We could see an amazing FA trophy like the one were we got to the quater finals but got beat by Aylesbury
