Remember the FA Trophy Quarter Final, remember Wilko's 30 yarder that in my opinion was the most important goal of that season?

Incredible scenes from a place familiar to many of us. Their club were unfortunate that they guy who owned the ground wanted different things from the club themselves.

Surely you have played on worse than that shandy ?

crazy pitches you have played on . . . .
I remember one pitch somewhere up near dursley (I Think) where the pitch was so sloped, I didnt bother taking on the defender just kicked the ball to the left of him up a massive slope ran round him and then waited for the ball to come down, and then he brought me down for a penalty.

yeh but in those days it was quite easy to make 9.5 stone go quite fast ! !!
all that home cooking not to mention beer, listening to Tims stories about double bagging, t-towel how he used to play with Muzzie and was unlucky not to be spotted. all of it slows you down . . .

And Littledean must have been the smallest pitch in the whole world. It became very congested with women pushing their prams across it as you played.

An absolute disgraceI think there were plans to build an all weather pitch on there as well as houses but they got thrown out.
