Ladies seconds lost 3-0 to Oldland Abbotonians this afternoon at Tuffley Park.
Oldands scored all their goals in the first half, through Jess Cole and Gemma Summers who got a brace. City didn't seem to get going, and were punished by a fast attacking team.
In the second half, City put up a much better performance, but worringly several players were injured, Lana who was in goal had to be substitued, with Sandra going between the sticks, then mel picked up an injury, and she ended in goal, making two excellent saves, one at full dive. It reminded me of how well she played in goal for the firsts a couple of seasons back. Viki also picked up a knock, and was off the field for some time, as was Ruth who took a bang on the head. Luckily we don't have another game now for three weeks.
