FA Youth Cup
Pride of place this week must go to the Under 18 squad who progressed into the next round of the FA Youth Cup in the week thanks to a super 3-2 victory against Mangotsfield United at Slimbridge. Our lads played some good football and deserved to progress. Next up we are away to Merthyr Tydfil. At the time of writing I have not been told when the match will be, though it will be either next Wednesday or Thursday.

We are now within touching distance on the 'big boys' with the winners of the next tie being drawn away to league club Swansea City. This is a big prize for the youngsters of both clubs and there is a lot of hard work to be done before we can start thinking about that - but it's hard work that has put us in a position where we have a chance and you never know. It's a funny ole game

GCAFCYD this week
On quite beautiful autumn morning at Hartpury, Fred Gittings and Tim Halls U16 squad recorded a superb 6-0 win against Shortwood United. Later that morning a below par performance by the U16s saw us loose 6-2 to Worcester City. Andy Peyton was good enough to text me the score of the U12 match - though the news was not good - the lads going down 5-0 to Kidderminster Harriers. The Under 13 squad went for a Burton. Well, to Burton on Trent to be more precise and drew 2-2.

I have not heard how the 14s got on.
